Party FAQ’s:
Q: Do I need to be a member of the Lochearn Pool to host a party at the pool?
A: Yes! Hosting parties at the pool is one of the many benefits of membership. In order to host a party at the pool, you must first become a member. Please see the membership page to learn more about becoming a member.
Q: How much will a party at the pool cost?
The cost of your party depends on the number of non-member party guests you have. Each non-member party guest costs $10 each, while pool member party attendees are free.
PLEASE NOTE that the office/lifeguard staff will not collect fees from party guests. It is the party host’s responsibility to pay for the party, and if needed, collect funds from your guests.
Q: What kind of party can I have at the pool?
A: You can hold all sorts of parties! We welcome birthdays parties, graduations, retirement, sports teams, family reunions and so much more!
Q: Can I provide music or a D.J. at my party?
A: We do NOT allow D.J.’s to set up at the pool for individual member parties. Parties are held during regular business hours, so while we allow speakers, we ask that you keep music to a reasonable volume and play music that is not offensive to other members or our neighbors.
Q: Do I have to buy food from the snack bar or can I bring in my own food?
A: You may absolutely bring in your own food either prepared by you, catered, or you can use one of our grills to throw on some burgers and hot dogs. If you don’t want to bother, we encourage you to speak with the Snack Bar operator about ordering food from them!
Q: Will other members be at the pool during my party?
A: Yes. Parties can only be hosted during regular pool hours and while parties have exclusive access to the dedicated party area (behind the bath house) the pool will still be open to all members.
Q: How do I know if my dates is available?
A: As people reserve parties and the board confirms them, we add them to the public calendar. Please check the calendar for conflicting events or parties before requesting your party date. Party hours, set-up, and clean-up all must fall within the pool’s open hours which are also listed on the pool calendar.
Q: What is the maximum number of people I can have at a party?
A: We can accommodate parties of up to 125 people, however, that depends on our ability to have an adequate number of lifeguards on the day you selected. Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you have questions.
Q: How do I book a party if I am a member?
A: It’s simple. Just fill out the Party Request Form on the website. We will notify you via e-mail as soon as the board approves your event.
Q: If my party is approved, when is payment due?
A: We require a $50 party request deposit. This will hold your space. Payment for the remainder of your balance is due before you leave the property after the party. If your requested time is not available, your deposit will be returned to you.
Q: What information should I provide my party guests ahead of the party?
A: Party hosts agree to their guests abiding by all pool rules. Please provide your party guests with a copy of the pool rules in an email ahead of the party. Please also highlight the following rules that are especially important for guests who are not familiar with Lochearn to know:
- Absolutely NO alcohol is allowed

Q: Can my party guests order food from the Snack Bar?
Yes! Please check the Snack Bar Hours on the homepage of the website and on social media; if your party is large, we recommend reaching out to the snack bar ahead of time to confirm that they will be open and have sufficient staff and supplies for your party. They also take catering request and their catering menu can be found here.
