Fees:
- The cost of attendance is $10.00 per child, per visit; chaperones may enter for free at a ratio of 8 children:1 chaperone.
- A $100 Camp Rental Deposit must be made at the time of the rental request. Once your reservation is confirmed, the deposit will be applied to the total cost.
- LCC volunteer staff will reply via email confirming your reservation and then you will receive an invoice via Member Splash. LCC will calculate the cost of participation for the full season and will send an invoice for ½ of that amount, which must be paid before your first scheduled swim date. A second invoice will be sent midway through the season requesting payment for the remainder and making adjustments for additional payments (e.g. for additional children not included in your initial contract) or deductions (e.g. if LCC closes the pool for inclement weather).
- Cost adjustments for bringing fewer than the contracted # of children will not be made, as LCC schedules staff based on the number of children in the contract.
Group Size:
- If your camp will be bringing less than 20 total people, LCC reserves the right to schedule an additional camp of less than 20 total people at the same time.
- Cost adjustments for bringing fewer than the contracted # of children will not be made, as LCC schedules staff based on the number of children in the contract.
Camp Responsibilities:
- Provide camp staff supervision (16 years or older) at a ratio of 1 chaperone per 8 children.
- One adult (ages 18 or older) camp staff member must be in the water with the children and/or sitting on the edge of the pool while children are swimming (youth ages 15-18 with lifeguard certification can also count as adults in this scenario)
- if there are campers in both the baby pool and main pool, there must be an adult staff member in each of those areas.
- Camp staff under the age of 18 that do not also have a lifeguard certification may supervise children in other areas of the pool grounds.
- Camp staff under the age of 16 will not count towards the chaperone:child ratio.
- Camp staff supervision must be provided for children at all times, whether swimming or not.
- There must be one camp staff member in each area that there are campers.
- LCC reserves the right to expel individual campers or an entire camp if behavioral issues are not addressed.
- Children must stay in the shallow end of the pool unless they take a swim test with an LCC lifeguard.
Administration of Swim Test:
- The swim test consists of swimming one length of the pool without stopping and treading water for 2 minutes unassisted. An LCC lifeguard will oversee the test.
- Once the swim test is passed the camper will receive a red silicone bracelet that allows them full use of the deep end. Each swimmer that passes the swim test must keep the bracelet on at all times while at the pool.
- Please bring the bracelet with you at each visit. The 1st bracelet is free, replacement bracelets are $1 each.
No-Show & Weather Closure:
- In the event that the Camp Organization is not able to attend the scheduled session, a mandatory 48-hour notice is needed. Notice must be given via email (
[email protected]) and/or phone (410-530-7084).
- If notice is not provided, the camp must pay for the full amount of attendance.
- If the Camp Organization wishes to reschedule a canceled day for another day, LCC staff will do their best to accommodate that. If not, no payment is required and an invoice adjustment or reimbursement will be made.
- If LCC must close the facility due to inclement weather prior to your arrival or within the first 15 minutes of your swim time, no payment is due from the Camp Organization.
- If a weather call is made after the initial 15 minutes of your camp slot, the cost of the day will be prorated.
- If there are any questions regarding the opening of LCC prior to your arrival due to inclement weather, it is your responsibility to contact LCC to determine if the facility is open; if the facility is open, camps are expected to pay for their swim session.
Health Issue Closure:
- If the facility/pool must close for health reasons due to a Camp Organization member's actions (example, but are not limited to – bodily fluids in the pool), there will be no refund of any fees already paid for the use of the facility for that day.
- If the facility/pool must close for 12 – 24 hours for health reasons due to a Camp Organization’s member’s actions (example, but not limited to – bodily fluids in the pool), there will be no refund of any fees already paid for the use of the facility for that day AND the camp will be assessed an additional non-refundable $250 forced closure fee.
- Any additional forced closings during the same calendar summer shall be met with an increase of $100 for each additional incident by the Camp Organization.
LCC rules and regulations must be reviewed by the Camp Organization. All camp staff and campers must adhere to the same rules and regulations as all members of the LCC or risk expulsion from the pool or long-term loss of access to the LCC facilities.
